3.1-796.94:2. Regulation of sale of animals procured from animal shelters.

Any city, county or town which supports, in whole or in part, an animalshelter may by ordinance provide that no person who acquires an animal fromsuch shelter shall be able to sell such animal within a period of six monthsfrom the time the animal is acquired from the shelter. Violation of such anordinance shall constitute a misdemeanor.
