3.1-796.89. (Effective until July 1, 2007) Effect of dog or cat not wearingcollar as evidence.

Any dog or cat not wearing a collar bearing a license tag of the propercalendar year shall prima facie be deemed to be unlicensed, and in anyproceedings under this chapter the burden of proof of the fact that such dogor cat has been licensed, or is otherwise not required to bear a tag at thetime, shall be on the owner of the dog or cat.
