§ 4. Priority of purchasers

- The priority of purchasers of land for homesteads shall be as follows:
(1) Persons who have served or are serving in the armed forces of the United States who are domiciled in the Virgin Islands and who otherwise qualify under this chapter shall be given a first priority; and
(2) Persons currently owning and living in superficiary buildings on the land or leasing land in the area acquired by the Government upon which no buildings have been erected, shall be given second priority; and
(3) Persons living in rental homes located in the area acquired by the Government or who have applications pending for land in a specified area shall be given third priority; and
(4) All other applicants for the purchase of lots shall be considered in accordance with the priority established by date of application.
