§ 21. Preparation in slip form and volumes

  • (b) Before the final printing and publication of any slip laws, session laws volumes pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, the publishers are authorized to correct any errors in the official text that are strictly typographical or errors in format, such as the correction of misspelled words, the selection of the proper type where type of improper size or font has been used, the rearrangement of lines or paragraphs which may have been improperly placed, the correction of references to other provisions of law, and the correction or insertion, if necessary, of chapter and section analyses and catchlines. Any such correction shall become effective, as a matter of law, if the publishers have notified every member of the Legislature of the Virgin Islands and the Governor of the Virgin Islands and no objection to such correction is made by any such member or by the Governor within thirty (30) days following the mailing date of notification.
