Chapter 15 - The Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention Act
§ 457. Identity of person reporting; confidentiality

  • (a) The identity of any person who reports under this chapter is confidential and may be disclosed only among the following agencies or persons representing the agency:

    • (1) The Department Human Services;

    • (2) A licensing agency;

    • (3) A local law enforcement agency;

    • (4) The office of the Attorney General;

    • (5) Department of Health;

    • (6) The probate court; and

    • (7) The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, Division of Investigation.

  • (b) The identity of a person who reports under this chapter may also be disclosed when a person reporting waives confidentiality.

  • (c) Although the identity of the person who reports under this chapter is confidential, any person reporting pursuant to this chapter shall include his name in the report.
