§ 309. Public housing projects; fire prevention

Effective July 1, 1973, no public housing project of 30 units or more shall be undertaken in the Virgin Islands unless the plans therefor include plans and specifications for the installation of sufficient waterlines and fire hydrants within such housing project as shall be approved by the Commissioner as sufficient for fire prevention purposes. The Commissioner, shall promulgate in consultation with the Police Commissioner, guidelines to be followed by developers of public housing projects in complying with the provisions of this section.
