§ 782. Action for forcible entry or detainer

  • (a) When a forcible entry is made upon any premises, or when an entry is made in a peaceable manner and the possession is held by force, the person entitled to the premises may maintain an action to recover the possession thereof.

  • (b) If the unpaid rent or the value of the real property involved does not exceed $500, exclusive of interest and costs, the Superior Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of such action. In all other cases, the Superior Court and the district court shall have concurrent jurisdiction.
