§ 271. Exception

The bona fide owner and occupier of a single family dwelling used exclusively for living purposes, including the usual accessories and quarters in connection with such dwelling may, without obtaining a license pursuant to this chapter, perform electrical, plumbing, fiber optic and mechanical work thereon, providing such person complies with all applicable plumbing or electrical codes.
