Chapter 6 - Protection of Resident Workers
§ 130. Records

  • Each employer who is engaged in business in the Virgin Islands shall keep and present immediately upon demand of the Commissioner up-to-date records with the following information: (1) number, names and addresses of employees in his employ; (2) status of each with respect to legal residence; (3) if bonded, their country of origin and date when bonds will expire; (4) classification and wage rate of each employee and payrolls showing number of hours worked each day and each week and compensation received by each employee, and whatever deductions have been made from his wages.
  • An employer shall acquaint each nonresident worker employed by him under bond as to the provisions of the clearance order for agreement which stipulates the wages and conditions of employment.
