Chapter 11 - Virgin Islands Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners
§ 1099. Relation to other laws

  • (a) This chapter does not limit rights, privileges, or immunities provided to volunteer health practitioners by other laws. Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), this chapter does not affect requirements for the use of health practitioners pursuant to the Emergency Management Assistance Compact under section 1051 et seq. of this title.

  • (b) The Director pursuant to the Emergency Management Assistance Compact may incorporate into the emergency forces of the Territory volunteer health practitioners who are not officers or employees of the Government of the Virgin Islands, an instrumentality of the Government or other political subdivision of the Government of the Virgin Islands.
