Chapter 60 - Third Party Administrators
§ 1542. Unauthorized activities

Nothing in this chapter may be construed to permit any person or entity to receive or collect charges, contributions or premiums for, or adjust or settle claims in connection with any type of life or health benefit, unless that person or entity may through the insurance laws of a state or territory, or the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, 29 U.S.C. § 1001, et seq., as amended (ERISA), provide benefits.
