Subchapter I - Career and Technical Education
§ 263. Career-Technical Education Training Fund

  • (a) There is hereby created and established as a separate and distinct fund within the Treasury of the Virgin Islands a special fund to be designated and known as the “Vocational-Technical Education Training Fund”. No funds shall be available for expenditure from the Vocational-Technical Education Training Fund except as provided herein.

  • (b) All funds received under Acts of Congress and apportioned for career and technical education in the public schools and all monies appropriated pursuant to this subchapter shall be deposited in the Career-Technical Education Training Fund.

  • (c) All tuition fees paid by students attending career and technical programs created pursuant to this title shall be deposited in the Vocational-Technical Education Training Fund.

  • (d) The Commissioner of Finance shall disburse monies from the Career-Technical Education Fund exclusively for the use by the career and technical educational programs established by and conducted pursuant to this title, and only upon the authorization of the Commissioner of Education.
