Chapter 122 - Deception
§ 3045. Deception

Any person who knowingly sells, offers to sell, or attempts to sell the right to participate in a pyramid sales scheme, as defined in the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, codified in title 12A, chapter 6 of this Code, commits a misdemeanor and, in addition to any fines and penalties imposed by the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, may be imprisoned not more than one year.
