§ 18. Abatement of taxes; remittance of fines or forfeitures
The trustees of the Village shall have power to abate taxes paid or assessed by virtue of this charter, to remit fines or forfeitures imposed for violation of this charter or bylaws, ordinances, or regulations of the Village, and to discharge the offenders from imprisonment for same. (Added 1943, No. 183, § 18.)
