§ 221. State plan and cooperation

The State of Vermont desires to assume responsibility for the development and enforcement of occupational safety and health standards within the State. To that end the Commissioner shall submit plans and reports to the appropriate federal official or agency, under the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (PL. 91-596), enacted by the Congress of the United States of America. The Department and the Division shall cooperate with the appropriate federal agencies in carrying out the purposes of the Act and the VOSHA Code. (Added 1971, No. 205 (Adj. Sess.), § 1.)
