§ 2256. Examinations; charges

For the purpose of protecting consumer interests and determining a company's financial stability and compliance with the requirements of this chapter, the Commissioner may conduct an examination of a company engaged in the business of consumer litigation funding. The company shall reimburse the Department of Financial Regulation all reasonable costs and expenses of such examination. In unusual circumstances and in the interests of justice, the Commissioner may waive reimbursement for the costs and expenses of an examination under this section. (Added 2015, No. 128 (Adj.
