§ 63. Salary

(a) The base salary for the Sergeant at Arms shall be $47,917.00 as of January 1, 2015 provided that, beginning on July 1, 2015 and annually thereafter, this compensation shall be adjusted by the cost of living adjustment negotiated for State employees under the most recent collective bargaining agreement.

(b) The Joint Rules Committee may establish the starting salary for the Sergeant at Arms, ranging from the base salary to a salary that is 30 percent above the base salary. The maximum salary for the Sergeant at Arms shall be 50 percent above the base salary. (Added 1959, No. 329 (Adj. Sess.), § 48, eff. March 1, 1961; amended 1961, No. 231, § 2, eff.
