§ 404 Absence of Village Manager; Acting Village Manager

To perform his or her duties during his or her temporary absence or disability, the Manager may, with the consent of the Board of Trustees, designate by letter filed with the Village Clerk a qualified individual. In the event of the failure of the Manager to make such a designation, the Board of Trustees may by resolution appoint any qualified individual, including one of its members, to perform the duties of the Manager until he or she shall return or his or her disability shall cease.
