§ 302 Meetings

24A V.S.A. § 302 What's This?

[Section 302 repealed effective June 30, 2014.] 257-302. Meetings

(a) The Board of Trustees shall at its first meeting after the annual Village meeting:

(1) Elect one of its members as Chair;

(2) Elect one of its members as Vice Chair;

(3) Establish by resolution a regular place and time to hold its meetings, which shall take place at least once a month;

(4) Provide a method for calling special meetings.

(b) All action taken by the Board of Trustees shall be by majority vote. A majority of the Board shall constitute a quorum. A majority of a quorum is sufficient for a valid vote.

(c) All meetings of the Board of Trustees shall be open to the public, unless, by an affirmative vote of the majority of the members present, the Board shall vote that for any particular session or portion thereof shall be an executive session in accordance with 1 V.S.A. 313 except as otherwise provided by law.
