§ 209 Officers elected; term

[Section 209 repealed effective June 30, 2014.] 257-209. Officers elected; term

(a) At the annual meeting of the Village of Northfield the following officers shall be elected from among the legally qualified voters of the Village:

(1) A Village Clerk.

(2) A Village Treasurer.

(3) A Tax Collector.

(b) The Board of Trustees shall consist of five members, elected at large by the legally qualified voters of the Village, and shall hold office for three years and until their successors are duly elected and qualified, after adoption of this charter amendment, each incumbent trustee shall continue to hold office until the expiration of his or her respective term and his or her successor shall be elected at large except as otherwise provided in section 210 of subchapter 2 of this charter.

(c) All elected officers, except for the members of the Board of Trustees, as herein provided, shall hold office until the next annual meeting and until their successors are duly elected and qualified.

(d) Each elected officer shall have the duties and powers granted to their respective office by this charter, or by law to equivalent officers of towns.
