[Section 203 repealed effective June 30, 2014.] 257-203. Warning; contents

(a) A warning for an annual or special meeting shall, by separate articles specifically indicate the business to be transacted as the trustees direct. The warning shall also contain any article or articles requested by a petition signed by at least five percent of the voters of the Village and filed with the Board of Trustees not less than 40 days before the day of such meeting. The warning shall be published in the newspapers printed in the Village, or, if there are none, shall be posted on four public places in the Village, at least 10 days before such meeting. The warning shall be signed by the Clerk and shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk before it is posted.

(b) The procedure herein provided shall apply to all annual and special meetings unless another procedure is required by a particular statute of this State.
