§ 203 Elections at annual meetings
251-203. Elections at annual meetings
(a) Said Village shall, at every annual meeting elect for the ensuing year a Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, Collector, and three auditors. At the first annual meeting of said Village there shall be elected three trustees whose term of office shall be for one year and two trustees whose term of office shall be for two years; and at every annual meeting thereafter there shall be elected two trustees for the term of two years, and one trustee for the term of one year, and such additional Trustees may be elected as are necessary to fill vacancies.
(b) The trustees shall be elected by ballot, and any of the other officers shall also be elected by ballot provided a writing demand therefor is filed with the Clerk before the meeting signed by not less than five legal voters therein.
(c) Any person who receives the highest number of votes cast for a given office shall be elected thereto.
