600. Fees of sheriff, constable or police officer

When a sheriff, constable or police officer makes a search for intoxicating liquor by direction of a lawful warrant, he or she shall receive as fees for such services $2.00 for the search, $0.15 a mile for actual travel, and such sum as he or she shall actually pay out for necessary assistance, if deemed reasonable by the commissioner of finance and management, and if the officer makes oath that the money was so expended, stating the name of his or her assistant and the amount paid. (Amended 1983, No. 195 (Adj. Sess.), 5(b).)
