§ 5-509. Election of officers

At the annual meeting the said city shall elect from among the legal voters thereof a mayor for a term of two years; a city clerk for a term of three years; one commissioner of Green Mount Cemetery for a term of five years; one park commissioner for a term of five years, two school commissioners, each for a term of three years, except that three school commissioners shall be elected in 1974 and each third year thereafter; and one council member from each district for a term of two years, who shall hold office until their successors are duly elected and qualified. (Amended 2011, No. M-6, § 3, eff. May 6, 2011.)
