§ 5-303. Vacancies

A vacancy on the board of council members shall occur upon the death, removal from the district, or resignation of a council member. A vacancy in the office of council member with more than 90 days of unexpired term remaining shall be filled by the remaining members of the city council. The unexpired term of the office of council member filled as provided in this section, shall, at the next annual meeting of the city, be filled by election for the balance of the unexpired term.
