§ 1528. Collector of taxes
When a town at its annual meeting elects a collector of taxes, he shall collect state, county, town and town school district taxes. Warrants and rate bills for the collection of such taxes shall be directed to the collector, and he shall give his receipt therefor. He shall collect and pay over such taxes agreeably to his warrant.
