§ 202. Procedure when exercising jurisdiction over nonresident

A tribunal of this state exercising personal jurisdiction over a nonresident under section 201 of this title may apply section 316 (Special Rules of Evidence and Procedure) of this title to receive evidence from another state, and section 318 (Assistance with Discovery) of this title to obtain discovery through a tribunal of another state. In all other respects, chapters 3 through 7 of this title do not apply and the tribunal shall apply the procedural and substantive law of this state, including the rules on choice of law other than those established by this title. (Added 1997, No. 11, § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1998.)
