§ 7111 Youth court officer certification


12 V.S.A. § 7111. What's This?

§ 7111. Youth court officer certification

(a) In order to be a judge, juror, prosecutor, defense counsel or bailiff in the youth court, a person must be certified as a youth court officer. This provision does not apply to an adult serving in any of these capacities.

(b) In order to be certified as a youth court officer, a person must:

(1) Be over the age of 13 years and under the age of 18 years.

(2) Reside in Windsor county.

(3) Have written parental or guardian permission to serve as a youth court officer.

(4) Have successfully completed a youth court training program administered by the board. (Added 1995, No. 18, § 1.)
