§ 1022. Application for alteration

A person proposing to change, alter or modify the course, current or cross section of a watercourse shall apply in writing to the secretary for a permit to do so. The application shall describe the location and purpose of the proposed change and shall be accompanied by the maps and plans and other information the secretary shall direct. A conformed copy shall be simultaneously filed with the town clerk of the town in which the proposed alteration is located, and mailed to each owner of property that abuts or is opposite the land where the alteration is to take place.
