§ 658. Supreme court records

Whenever the records of the supreme court are transcribed by the superior court clerk, the clerk shall forthwith transmit the original of such record to the court administrator for safekeeping, together with a certified copy thereof. The superior court clerk shall keep on file an additional certified copy of such transcription in place of the original so transmitted. A copy of such original record certified by the court administrator from the original or a copy certified by the superior court clerk from the transcript retained on file shall be entitled to the same faith and credit and have the same force as the original record. The expense of making such transcript and of transmittal of the original record shall be paid by the state. (Added 1967, No. 174, § 9; amended 2009, No. 154 (Adj. Sess.), § 40.)
