Executive Order No. 30-2. (No. 56-81) [Transfer of Energy Office From Agency of Administration to Department of Public Service
WHEREAS, the Public Service Department was created pursuant to Act No. 204 of the 1979 Adjourned Session of the General Assembly, which amended Title 30 and which by its terms will take effect on February 1, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the state Energy Office was created within the Agency of Administration pursuant to section 2286 of Title 3, and
WHEREAS, the administrative and physical relocation of the state Energy Office to bring it in closer proximity to the Department of Public Service will result in greater efficiency and better coordination of energy policy and programs for the state;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Richard A. Snelling, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor of Vermont, pursuant to 3 V.S.A. section 2001 and 2002 and 3 V.S.A. section 209, and in order to facilitate the sound and orderly development of energy programs and energy policy, do hereby transfer the Energy Office from the Agency of Administration to the Department of Public Service for administrative support.
