CHAPTER 417. WINDHAM SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

Subchapter II. Board of Supervisors

§ 417-15. Voting

Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, each member of the board of supervisors shall be entitled to cast one vote for every 3,000 population, or part thereof, in the municipality which he or she represents. In addition, the representative of the host community shall have an additional two votes. As former host community, the town of Brattleboro shall be entitled to retain one of its two host community votes. A host community shall be defined as one that has the district's active landfill. A member of the board of supervisors may not split his or her votes. The determination of population shall be made based upon the latest census provided by the Vermont state office of policy research and coordination.
