CHAPTER 257. VILLAGE OF NORTHFIELD

Subchapter V. Ordinances

§ 257-505. Enforcement

(a) The violation of an ordinance, by-law, rule or regulation may provide for a fine or imprisonment, but no fine may exceed $500.00 nor may any term of imprisonment exceed one year. Each week the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.

(b) The Board of Trustees may apply to the Washington County Court to enjoin the violation of an ordinance, by-law, rule, or regulation, but the election of the board to proceed under this subsection shall not prevent prosecutions under subsection (a) of this section.
