Chapter 15 CITY OF VERGENNES
§ 2 Voters in city meetings
§ 15-2. Voters in city meetings
(a) A male or female citizen, twenty-one years of age, who has taken the freeman's oath and whose list, including poll, is taken in a town at the annual assessment preceding a town meeting, and whose poll and flood tax due such town, was paid prior to the fifteenth day of February preceding such town meeting, or who has attained the age of twenty-one years subsequent to the last annual assessment, or who is exempt from taxation for any cause, shall, while residing in such town, be a voter in a town meeting.
(b) A person qualified to vote in town meeting under the provisions of this charter shall be qualified to vote in all other municipal meetings.
