§ 113-205. Selectmen; organization

(a) Forthwith after their election and qualification, the selectmen shall organize and elect a chairman, vice-chairman and a clerk by a majority vote of the entire board and file a certificate of such election for record in the office of the town clerk.

(b) The chairman of the board or in the chairman's absence the vice-chairman, shall preside at all meetings of the board and shall be recognized as the head of the town government for all ceremonial purposes.

(c) The rules of conduct of all meetings shall be governed by Roberts "Rules of Order".
