§ 105-61. General prohibition
No elected or appointed town officer or employee of the town shall be beneficially interested in any matter requiring the discharge of his/her public office. The purpose of this subchapter is to prohibit the use of public office for financial or other advantage, whether direct or indirect, by any means or methods whatsoever.
