§ 1107. Cattle crossing signs

When requested in writing by a farm operator, the agency shall furnish at its expense portable or permanent type cattle crossing signs for use on state highways or town highways where cattle must use the traveled surface of the highway to reach fields or pastures. These signs shall conform to the current standards of the manual on uniform traffic control devices. The signs shall be permanently installed or may be temporarily displayed at locations designated by the farm operator unless disapproved on the basis of traffic safety by the agency. Permanent type signs may be installed on state highways by the agency wherever practical. (Added 1985, No. 269 (Adj. Sess.), { 1.)
