19 VT Stats § 14. (2011 through Adj Sess) What's This?

§ 14. State highways

(a) The state highways shall be those highways so designated on a map entitled "Vermont State Highways," filed in the office of the secretary of state on June 30, 1997, as subsequently modified by additions or deletions made pursuant to subsection (b) of this section.

(b) When an addition or deletion is made to the state highways, the agency shall complete a mileage certificate showing the highways which are added or deleted and file a copy in the office of the secretary of state. It shall also file a copy of the mileage certificate in the town clerk's office where the highways are located. When the certificates are filed, the transfer of control of the highways shall be deemed to have taken place. (Added 1985, No. 269 (Adj. Sess.), { 1; amended 1997, No. 150 (Adj. Sess.), { 7.)
