Executive Order No. 20-2

[Activation of Vermont National Guard for Assistance of

Civilian Authorities in City of Barre]

PURSUANT to authority vested in me as Governor and Commander in Chief of the Vermont National Guard, and having determined the necessity of public service requires it, I hereby order and direct the Adjutant General of Vermont to order into State Active Duty a force of seventeen (17) National Guardsmen for the purpose of:

Assisting Civilian Authorities in Barre City with the search of debris and security of the dwelling that exploded as a result of a ruptured gas line.

Pay for the men performing the State Active Duty shall be in accordance with the provisions of 20 V.S.A. section 603.
