§ 2202 -   Jurisdiction; venue

§ 2202. Jurisdiction; venue

The Vermont district court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over traffic offenses, any provision of any statute, municipal charter or ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, except as provided in chapter 19 or chapter 24 of this title. Venue for adjudicating traffic offenses shall be in the unit of the district court having jurisdiction over the geographical area where the offense is stated to have occurred.
