§ 7704. Loans
(a) The board may make loans to qualified borrowers for the following purposes:
(1) To assist one or more persons with disabilities to improve their independence through the purchase of adaptive equipment.
(2) To assist one or more persons with disabilities to become more independent members of the community and to improve the quality of their lives within the community through the purchase of adaptive equipment.
(b) The interest rates for loans shall be reasonably competitive with commercial lending rates and shall be established by the board based upon the borrower's ability to pay. Loan repayment periods shall not exceed ten years. (Added 1989, No. 206 (Adj. Sess.), § 1.)
