§ 7101. Policy

The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the development, establishment and enforcement of standards for the construction, maintenance and operation of nursing homes and similar institutions in which medical, nursing or other remedial care is rendered, and of homes for the aged, which will promote safe surroundings, adequate care and humane treatment of such persons cared for in these facilities.
