2005 Vermont Code - § 714. — Removal from office; oath

§ 714. Removal from office; oath

The governor may remove any member, including the chairman, for inefficiency, neglect of duty or misconduct in office after giving him a copy of the charges against him and an opportunity to be heard, in person or by counsel in his defense, upon not less than ten days' notice. Each member, including the chairman, before entering upon his duties shall take and subscribe an oath to perform the duties of his office faithfully, impartially and justly to the best of his ability. A record of the oath shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state. (Added 1973, No. 14, § 2, eff. Feb., 23, 1973.)
