§ 1151. Policy
It is the policy of the state of Vermont to provide delinquent children and children in need of care or supervision with individualized social and rehabilitative services, care and treatment. The Weeks School is maintained to serve the needs of these children by providing a specialized treatment program in a residential setting. The programs and resources of the departments of developmental and mental health services, education, corrections and social and rehabilitation services, the community mental health program and local school districts shall be utilized to fulfill the goal of enabling children placed in the Weeks School to achieve integration into the community.
