§ 705. Hospitalization upon expiration of sentence
If it is determined by the commissioner of developmental and mental health services that a person who has been transferred by the commissioner to the department of developmental and mental health services is in need of further care and treatment after the expiration of his maximum sentence, the commissioner of developmental and mental health services shall petition the district court for recommitment of the inmate to the custody of the commissioner of developmental and mental health services. This action by the commissioner of developmental and mental health services shall be initiated before the expiration of the maximum sentence. (Added 1971, No. 199 (Adj.
