2005 Vermont Code - § 13-1309.6. — Composition of tax rates

§ 13-1309.6. Composition of tax rates

(a) The amount to be raised by taxation shall be the sum of the net cost to the taxpayers of the following items:

(1) Debt service for bonded debt.

(2) Special appropriations as defined in section 1309.3. Amount to be raised by local taxes for the operating cost included in the city budget.

(3) Any other items required by law to be included in the tax rate.

(b) The amount to be raised by taxation for the school district shall likewise be allocated among the above items.

(c) The annual tax bills shall clearly show that portions of the tax is allocated among the items stated in this section.
