§ 9-11.2. Budget estimate

Except for the board of school commissioners, it shall be the duty of each board, commissioner, or other officer who is authorized to expend any money or incur any indebtedness chargeable to the city, to prepare and submit to the mayor annually before the 15th day of each May, estimates of the whole expense of operating each department, board, commission or office under the charge of any such officer or board for the year ensuing from the first day of the following July. These estimates shall specify in detail the objects of the expenditures.
