§ 5147. Jurisdiction for appeals and exceptions
The board of selectmen shall promptly and fairly hear any or all appeals by the ratepayer after notice to all interested parties. During appeal, disconnection will be postponed. Upon just cause shown, the board of selectmen may grant exceptions to any ratepayer. The board of selectmen may appoint one or more members of the board of selectmen to act as hearing officers for the purposes of the appeal. Alternatively, the board of selectmen may appoint a responsible citizen to act as a hearing officer for the appeal. (Added 1977, No. 93.)
