§ 3816. Recovery for expense

When, by the provisions of this chapter, owners of adjoining lands are required to pay to another the expense of making or repairing a division fence, or damages for the neglect of making, or for half the value of a division fence, the same with costs may be recovered in an action of tort on such statute.
