2005 Vermont Code - § 229. — Advisory councils

§ 229. Advisory councils

(a) For advice and assistance in making rules under the VOSHA Code, the commissioner may appoint such safety advisory councils as the commissioner deems necessary, and the secretary of human services may appoint such health advisory councils as the secretary deems necessary.

(b) In appointing a safety advisory council the commissioner shall give consideration to representation of industry, labor, insurance carriers and the public.

(c) The members of an advisory council shall be entitled to compensation fixed by the commissioner of human resources. (Added 1971, No. 205 (Adj. Sess.), § 1; amended 2003, No. 156 (Adj. Sess.), § 15.)
